GTA85 Air-Quiff
Based on the popular GT085 cable grommet the GTA85 209mm diameter grommet (cut out dimension) is fitted with a circular brush insert and 2-part top cover.
The GTA85 Air-Quiff was born from a customer's requirement to accommodate more and larger cables through the existing installed GT085 cable grommet without having to disconnect and remove in-place cables. The circular brush replaced the original grommet lid and created a large brush seal which concentrates bristles towards the centre of the grommet. The single brush ring can be opened to fit around existing cables and the 2 part top section forms a retaining surface ring.
For new projects the unit is supplied as a complete grommet with the top trim permanently fixed to the grommet flange. The grommet is designed as a push fit grommet and can be mechanically fixed to the floor using self-tapping screws. For new orders, unless requested otherwise, this configuration is our standard product design.
An alternative but similar grommet based on the GT085 unit is also made by Gromtec. The GTA85N uses the same grommet housing but the brush seal is mounted to the base of the grommet. This enables the retention of the clamping arm fixings and the installation of a grommet lid. See GTA85N for more details.
